Things that we leave behind..

Pacing through the journey, some things we leave behind.. unknowingly.. unintentionally..

In the midst of my journey, I realized what was left and what I had been missing…

Being a parent, a professional and struggling to keep up with lectures, projects and tests on weekends in college, I began to realize that days were just passing by.

And each day that passed, closed with a sigh of relief saying, “I somehow made it today.”

Thinking back on how well the day was spent, brought me the most incalculable smiles…

Sitting with a team and working together for a common goal, forgetting our differences, made me smile.

When we held each other, calmed each other of the anxiety, I smiled.

When asked to answer, my heart choked my throat. An Upon hearing a wobbling answer, my team mate smiled.

When one of us fumbled and the other nodded in support, it made me smile.

Eating out of each others’ plates, sharing all that we had on the table, including our experiences and goof ups, we smiled.

When we walked together as a team, a gang, a riot – It made me smile.

As I narrated to my family, all that happened in the day, all of us smiled.

Smiling is contagious, its effect – priceless.

Amidst the struggle, the anguish, we often neglect the significance that these little moments carry.

They make possible - a smile, and above all help you to start a brand new day - something that we often forget.

Have a Brand New Day!
